The Harmony DYE VL combines two trusted technologies, Pulsed Dye Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to create the new “Gold Standard” for treatment of a variety of skin conditions.
Dye VL uses light energy to target chromophores. These are the molecules that give a lesion its color. In vascular lesions this is the hemoglobin. In pigmented lesions it is melanin. These chromophores absorb the wavelengths of light causing the molecule to heat and break down. AFT uses a special filtering system to convert previously unusable short wavelength light into a part of the usable spectrum. The result is a uniform light pulse and more predictable treatment to achieve desired results
